I would never bring anyone to walterboro hospital nor would I recommend it. Please save yourself from the headache and make the extra drive it's sooooo worth it.
Greatly improved. A lot of people do not understand the demand. Until you are in the career, you will not understand how hard we all work.
This hospital is horrible they lost my insurance card then a year later sent a collection agency after me. I put the collection person in touch with my insurance and my insurance still had all records of this emergency thank goodness. This is exactly the work ethic you find in this city.
Walterboro hospital was by far the worst hospital experience I've ever had, spent over an hour and a half screaming in pain in the waiting room, I thought I had a kidney stone or a ruptured appendix, nurses were rude and asked me to walk to the bathroom to get a urine sample I asked for a catheter instead because it hurt to walk, but over heard the staff talking about no one knew how to do one. The nurse decided to do blood work instead but used a huge needle when I have small veins and instantly gave me a huge black bruse. She was yelling at me and told me I had to deal with it. I told her I wanted to leave and go to a different hospital where they knew what they were doing, she gave me the papers to sign and stormed out the room when I couldn't even walk and said I had to walk out, I forced myself up in extreme pain and collapsed not even 15feet from my room and luckily there was a random chair to catch me, a very nice security guard got a wheelchair and helped me outside and even waited until my ride got there.
The staff was quick,very efficient and friendly. Really was satisfied to know people were trying to help and they did a great job
Save yourself the headache and drive to roper saint Francis in Charleston.
I went to the roper saint Francis and come to find out i had a severe kidney infection and was close to dying, doctor said it was the worst he has ever seen.
Colleton county need to get there sh** together. This is the worst hospital to come. I will let people know not to come here.
