The most racist place we have ever been encountered during our 30 years in the United States. My husband ( an oncologist) and I ( a pharmacist) have been living the the southeast for most of our lives. Traveling through this town on our way to Disney world with three small kids. Stopped by this Cracker Barrel to have lunch. We were directed into our seats, and for over 20 minutes sitting there, being ignored by all waitresses. They started to take orders of people who came into after us.
I get the country fried steak and eggs. They give you big portions and lots of stuff with it. Good coffee. Good wait staff. It's cool that the store section sells gigantic candy and even records.
Good food, nice clean restaurant. Our server Brian was awesome! He went above and beyond helping us keep our toddler busy and fed.
After waiting for that long, our children started to grow impatient so we decided to leave.
It was great. The service was perfect. We had a group of 15 and they kept us all together and at the same table. Not all stores will do that. The good was delicious as usual.
Good home style country cooking at reasonable prices. Usually, there isn't a long waiting time. Waitresses are usually attentive and friendly.
We are speechless at this incident.
Just be cause we are Asians, looking younger than our ages, with three kids, in our casual attires, we were mistreated/ ignored as if we were illegal immigrants. We have a hard time explaining to our young children about this sensitive subject because we never once believed racism can be this bad until now.
