the AC was loud but functional. and it was a place to pass out before getting back on the road.
The beds were made nicely. The bathroom was filthy! The refrigerator did not work. The staff at the front desk or were nice, however, not concerned about the issues with the room. I would never go there again.
the toiler paper roll was also empty when I arrived; luckily there was a spare roll behind it. there was also no trash can in the bathroom. weird.
61.00 (before taxes) comfortable bed clean, but just like all the other aged chains, dingy. Good for a one-nighter.
one thing I will say (I have a B.S. in hotel management) is that the employees were saying everyone's room assignment aloud, which is a no no in case they are being followed or stalked etc. it's a big safety issue.
when I checked in, the guy told me my room number and how to get there and said I was being put in a suite. why? I have no idea. if that's all they had left available or if that was the only dog room available I don't know.
the room itself was nice albeit DUSTY as hell! there is a mirror over the bed (actually, mirrors are everywhere!), you know, so you can watch yourself sleep and all, and you can barely see through it cause of the dust.
Adequate room for a quick overnight during travelling. Older unit with some paint peeling; door was stuck-painted shut and had to push hard to get into the room. Sheets and towels were clean.
I was not an overnight guest, however I did find myself at the Ramada in Walterboro for about 2 hours or so to attend a local beauty pageant. I obviously can't speak as far as the their rooms go, but it's clear that the Ramada is in serious need of maintenance! Half of the tiles on the ceiling of the main dining room are brown from water damage while the other half is missing, leaving an unsightly view of the pipes.. the one and only working water fountain was old, rusted & had low water pressure.. & I can only imagine the cleanliness on the rooms. :(
so I got here late at night after driving from PA after the hurricane (Irma) had passed on my way back home to FL. after calling several area hotels this was the only one that still had rooms that also allowed pets as I had my three dogs with me. I booked via the phone so it wouldn't be full by the time I got there and checked in.
